Services Overview

The analysis modules in the Systems panel, sharing one ray engine.

Each service is an environmental study you run from the Systems panel, and they all share the same ray engine.

How Services Work

  1. Scope — the study runs over a geometry group or an ad-hoc selection. Groups sync live with Rhino, so what you analyze stays in step with the model.
  2. Compute — the study issues ray queries against the shared engine, which picks the backend your machine supports and falls back on its own.
  3. Output — a live viewport heatmap, per-sensor values, or sightlines.

Because every service answers through one verified engine rather than separate one-off implementations, the studies compose: reorganize a group or change the massing, and any study you re-run reflects it immediately.

Available Services

Wrengler is in preview, and the studies are not all at the same stage.

Sunlight Analysis

Shipped. Cumulative direct-sun hours over a chosen period, painted as a live heatmap that updates as you change massing.

View Studies

Engine verified — the Rhino adapter is next, so there is no in-Rhino run yet. Visible fraction plus sightlines between observers and targets, for view quality and privacy.

Solar Radiation

Written, not verified, not released — the study, its command and its tests exist in the source tree, and none of it has been compiled or run yet. Per-sensor irradiance in W/m² (direct, diffuse, total) at one sun position.

Geometry Grouping

Named groups that scope any study and stay in sync with Rhino.
