Assistant
Ask a project questions from Rhino or the web — answers built from the project's own data.
Preview, Wrengler Pro. The assistant is part of Pro, like image generation. In the Rhino panel it can also act on the open model (select, measure, colour, hide or show, and delete once you approve) through host programs. Changes to the project itself, like a new tag, are proposed for you to confirm.
Every project has a chat. In Rhino it fills the Projects view of the Wrengler panel; on the web it is the Chat tab of the project page. Both show the same conversations.
Point a question at something
Press + in the message box and pick what the question is about:

No chip means Project data. The chip decides what the assistant may look at, so a question about the project doesn't carry your scene with it, and a question about the scene is answered from the scene you have open.
For something bigger than one question, choose Goal in the same menu, in Rhino or on the web. Agents then work through the project's studies, documents, conversations and notes and post a cited answer in the conversation. See Goals.
Numbers come from your data
When the assistant states a number — a floor area, a sun-hours result, a count — it quotes a value
stored in the project, as stored. If the project has no such value, it says so rather than
estimating one. Tag the facts you care about (gfa = 12000 m²) and they become answerable.
What each answer was built from
Under every answer, a short line shows which sources it used and how much of each, for example
Project facts 1.2k · Conversation 0.4k. The assistant reads only what is relevant to the question,
so a first question is small and the context grows as the conversation goes on.
Privacy
- The assistant only sees projects you can see. Every question runs as you, under the same access rules as the rest of your account.
- With Rhino scene, it gets a short factual summary of the scene, not your geometry. Your model never leaves your machine.
- Conversations are saved with the project and deleted with it, or with your account.
